To Bolham Water from M5 junction 26 (Wellington) - 15 minutes
Take A38 west. Take second left turning signposted MONUMENT. At the top of the hill go straight across towards HEMYOCK and over into Devon at Simmonsburrow. In Hemyock turn left at Baptist Church signposted CHURCHINFORD. Leave village past Post Office and village hall. Follow road over 2 small bridges, bend right and up hill past BROOKRIDGE TIMBER on right. At the top of the hill (on the Blackdown escarpment) take 2nd right signposted BOLHAM WATER. just before you go back over the border into Somerset. Once you are entering Bolham Water, bear right at the end of the lane and take the sharp left hand bend at the top of the hill. (You can see Burcombe from here - the white house to the left in the valley.) Down into the valley past a few cottages, over the small river and first LEFT up a concrete farm drive marked BURCOMBE FARM. Please park at the end of the house. The pottery is beyond.

To Bolham Water from Taunton - 20 minutes
Leave Taunton on the Trull road and carry straight on into the Blackdowns up Blagdon Hill. AT the very top take the second RIGHT (before Churchinford) at Culmhead signposted HONITON. Go past the pigs and take the third RIGHT towards Hemyock. Continue for approximately 3 miles, over the border into Devon and first LEFT signposted BOLHAM WATER. Once you are entering Bolham Water, bear right at the end of the lane and take the sharp left hand bend at the top of the hill. (You can see Burcombe from here - the white house to the left in the valley.) To Bolham Water from A303 travelling west - 15 minutes
5 miles past Ilminster you go up Windmill Hill and see the Eagle Tavern on your right at the top. Take the next proper(2ND) RIGHT sinposted BISHOPSWOOD. Carry along this windingcountry lane for 10 minutes until CHURCHINFORD. Go straight across at vllage, up Red Lane towards HEMYOCK. At the next crossroads continue straight across still towards HEMYOCK. Continue for approximately 3 miles, over the border into Devon and first LEFT signposted BOLHAM WATER. Once you are entering Bolham Water, bear right at the end of the lane and take the sharp left hand bend at the top of the hill. To Bolham Water from A30 (at Honiton) - 15 minutes
Turn off the A30 on the DORCHESTER road and immediately turn right (almost still on the slipway, before crossing over A30 on bridge) signposted DUNKESWELL by some large electricity pylons. Follow this road for approximately 3 miles up hill and onto the Blackdowns. Stay on this road ignoring signs for Dunkeswell at Wolford Cross, for 3 more miles past sign for Fishponds House on left. At JACK'S HOUSE crossroads, before Smeatharpe, turn LEFT signposted HEMYOCK. After quarter of mile turn first RIGHT towards BOLHAM WATER. Stay on this lane until you go sharply downhill and - just before you reach a small river at the bottom - our concrete farm road will appear on the RIGHT marked BURCOMBE FARM. Please park at the end of the house. The pottery is beyond.
